Hotel Haya is a superb boutique little gem hidden among the Mega-giganto complex of Florida hotels. We particularly loved the styling and artwork throughout the hotel. (Viva "Ignacio", the local lobby rooster!) My husband and I met my brother and his wife for a family get-together and the Haya was such an excellent choice: lovely Cubano-style center courtyard and pool area, delicious Fino restaurant with excellent service (from Ms. Bri ;-)), and the local community cafe attached serves a sweet Cubano-oriented breakfast (complimentary coffee for guests). A great feature is that you can easily hop on the free trolley car to get into the Tampa Riverwalk area and aquarium. If you're a runner like me, you'll love explore-running through Ybor City and learning about the cigar factory and immigrant history. (I had no idea Jose Marti (the famous poet) launched the independence of Cuba from Spain here!) Also, I want to come back for the private dining room experience, where you apparently can get a Suckling Pig Feast for your fam and friends. Yes, please. Net net: My husband and I travel extensively throughout the world (90% of 2022). If you want a quiet, stylish, hip hotel in Tampa area -- this is it. In fact, I'd give it close to a Relais & Chateaux rating...except the concierges that I consulted with on getting into a local cigar factory tour were not quite up to speed on the situation to help us. (There's only one factory remaining [JC Newman] that offers a tour of the total 200 cigar factories that existed in Ybor City. Spaces fill up fast!) I

I was pleasantly surprised about the location which is in a old very historical part of Tampa, Ibor City. Has various shops, bars/gay and straight, arts/crafts, very clean. Early mornings city employees are cleaning. The food at the hotel restaurant is very good. One has to have a reservation! Breakfast is ok. It has a small coffee shop, sells pastries, breakfast sandwiches. Coffee is free for hotel guest. A block away one can catch the train trolly

The food and services at Flor Fina, located on the ground floor of the hotel, is excellent. We ended up having both dinner and breakfast there. Staff at the front desk staff and valet were all friendly and very helpful. The hotel provided a nice surprise for our anniversary: a bottle of champagne with dessert. We were on the fourth floor facing the courtyard. It was very quiet. Bed is comfortable. Room is clean.

The location was perfect as it is right there at the start of everything on 7th and 8th street. Great for a romantic weekend away. We enjoyed some breakfast sitting in one of the many places you can relax on a couch in a casual dinning area. this place has something for everyone. The pool looked great however we did not use it, we will save that for our next trip. Room was clean and the fridge was stocked :)

Mark

Well appointed room and very helpful staff, especially on reception. Nice cafe within hotel. Location good as the streetcar stop is a couple of minutes walk away on 8th avenue which travels to downtown Tampa and along Channelside Drive where there are stops for the Aquarium, Sparkman Wharf and river walkway. There are also a lot of places to eat and drink.
